As difficult as it was for me to write down my memories of my son, Chris, once I got through the heartache and the tears, I actually felt like my sorrow was finally diminishing.   For me, it was very therapeutic to write The Making of OUR Warrior.  The More Than A Name Foundation wants to help YOU in the healing process as well!

If you want to write a book about your hero, there are several options available through the More Than A Name Foundation:

•  Send us your complete manuscript:  We will edit and format your manuscript for our Critical Choice Publishing Company, and do everything needed to create a book that tells the story of YOUR hero.  Once the book is formatted and designed, you will receive a copy to review and to make any changes you desire before we send your manuscript to the printer for publication.

Critical Choice Publishing will provide you with the steps and guidelines to turn your ideas into a manuscript.  You can access our Author’s Packet Information at the following: _______________________________.  We will convert your completed manuscript into YOUR book at no cost to you!

 •  Mentor or second author for manuscript:  If you still need some assistance after reading our Author’s Packet, PLEASE let us know.  We will help find you a mentor, or someone else to help write your story.  Once we find you a mentor, you will be able to discuss how to finish your manuscript and get it to us so we can turn it into YOUR book.  You will be responsible for any mentoring costs, but the Than A Name Foundation will take care of all other costs for taking the complete manuscript and turning it into YOUR book.

• Dictation and transcription:  If you are unable to put your words onto paper, but can tell us your story of your hero, we can make arrangements to have your stories dictated.  We will then take the transcription of the manuscript and turn it into YOUR book.  Any costs for dictation and transcription will be your responsibility, but the More Than A Name Foundation will cover the costs of converting the transcribed manuscript into YOUR book.

•  Cover Design:  All you need to do is send us your photographs of your hero, and we will design a cover for YOUR book at no cost to you.  However, if you would like a custom cover, we will help you link up with some of our designers and then it will be your responsibility to negotiate a price for that custom cover design.

• Any additional books for your personal use can be purchased at 60% off the retail price
• YOUR book will also be sold on the More Than A Name Foundation website and the proceeds from the sale of YOUR book will go toward helping other families tell the stories of their fallen heroes.
